PAY AND SCHEDULE:

· Competitive Wages starting at $28.89/hr., increasing to $31.75/hr. after 692 compensated hours

· Typical schedule: Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed, totaling a 45-hour workweek

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Safely operate a refuse truck along designated routes to collect recyclables, with or without prior waste experience

· Read route sheets and efficiently service each customer listed or assigned by the dispatcher

· Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires

· Physically demanding tasks, including loading and unloading, occasionally without assistance

· Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities

· Maintain courteous interaction with customers and fulfill other assigned job-related duties

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

· Involves extensive physical activity, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds

· Some exposure to physical risks, such as moving mechanical parts, necessitating adherence to basic safety precautions

· Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, occasional fumes, and moderate noise levels

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement

· Proficiency in reading, writing, comprehending, and communicating in English; high school diploma or equivalent preferred

· Minimum 1 year of directly related experience

· Basic knowledge of truck components for pre-and post-trip inspections
