Waste Connections Labourer/Scale Attendant in Martensville, Saskatchewan

Location: Loraas Landfill

Reports to: Landfill Supervisor

Compensation: Hourly

Job type: Full Time, Permanent

As a condition of employment, all new employees to safety sensitive positions must successfully pass a substance test within a two week period of their hiring date.

Duties:

  • A variety of labour and light equipment operation duties, including grounds maintenance (mowing with various equipment, cleaning up wind-blown litter, manually or with self-propelled fan-collection unit, tree watering etc.) and cleaning of equipment with high-pressure wash.

  • Assist with scale operation and general paperwork.

  • Adhere to all safety procedures and policies according to company Safety Manual and OH&S Regulations.

  • Ensuring a high level of quality service to internal and external customers.

  • General shop and yard duties.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Class 5 Driver’s License required, must have a clean driver's abstract.

  • Strong logistical and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently or in a team.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Computer literacy required.

  • A criminal record check will be required.
