Waste Connections Heavy Duty Mechanic in Kitchener, Ontario
Waste Connections of Canada has an immediate opening for a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Kitchener Ontario
In this position, you will be working on heavy diesel garbage trucks. We do a lot of hydraulics and electrical work along with preventative maintenance and minor engine repair. Much of our fleet is still under warranty!
We are looking for a SAFETY inclined, energetic, autonomous and proactive team player capable of making a difference in his/her team and community.
Current wage is $41.70/hr plus $1.00/hr shift premium for the afternoons shift.
The shift we are hiring is an afternoon shift which is 3pm start to 1am (4, 10hr shifts) Monday to Thursday with Fridays off. Overtime available if desired.
We offer a competitive wage package with, quarterly safety bonuses, shift premiums and OT available.

Qualifications:
Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic or equivalent, strong apprentices will be considered.
3-4 years of experience in truck and trailer repairs
Must be able to pass all pre-employment tests
Experience with drivability, hydraulics, engines
