Residential Garbage Truck Driver - DZ

Full Time - $20.45 per hour!
Waste Connections of Canada, the leader in non-hazardous solid waste management in North America is looking for SIDE LOAD - GARBAGE TRUCK DRIVERS to join our team in Kingston, ON. We are looking for a SAFETY inclined, energetic, autonomous and proactive team player capable of making a difference in his/her team and community.
Driver will be responsible for manual collection of residential garbage, yard-waste, and recycling. Driver will be responsible for safe operation of the vehicle, maintaining truck and route cleanliness, and completing accurate vehicle condition reports. The driver proceeds to residential customers until the truck has a full load, and then dumps the load at a transfer station and local landfills.
Monday to Friday - Morning Shifts!
40-50 hours per week
Drive through dense residential areas for yard waste, recycling and waste pickup.
Ensure customer satisfaction through reliable service (e.g., arrive on schedule, pick-up all bins, clean up waste that falls out of bin when lifting
Drive to transfer station to weigh vehicle, obtain a ticket for weight of contents and enter weight into system on truck. Dump contents at designated transfer station or landfill.
Unload contents by moving blade forward; manually clean out debris trapped behind blade.
Review run sheet listing calls and identify any potential issues.
Complete pre and post shift checks of truck
Qualifications and Skills
Commercial drivers’ license - DZ is required and must be maintained.
Proven record of safe driving performance. (Perfect Driving record)
Able to start working between around 5-6 am.
Capable to work up to 10 hours per day
Class 3 license right side driving experience

Extremely Physically demanding role
Seated and standing in a truck. Exposed to heat/cold, rain, snow.
Climb in and out of truck at each house and manually pick up and unload bins and bags weighing up to 50 lbs pounds throughout the day
